Welcome to the SociAbilities Website!
We happily support families and their children with social skills including social communication, social play, social skills lessons. Weekly lessons are supported with books, music, and take-home lessons. Parent concerns are easily addressed and incorporated into what is taught. Classes are small and divided by age and social abilities. Students attending are aged PK-5tth grade. Lessons last 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. Students come in ,talk to friends, play either inside or outside then wash hands for a variety of snacks. Birthdays are celebrated monthly. After snack, main lesson is presented with handouts to be reviewed at home for each student. Art project or science project happens next. The children love to go outside in the yard to swing, play with toys, or pretend in the playhouse. When play has ended students participate in board games or card games played outside or inside the center.
Sharon is happy to support your child and parents in school observations, 504’s and IEP’s. She has been an educational consultant for over 40 years and is proud of the consultation she can provide your family.
Children love the variety of animals in the center. We currently have 2 great danes, 1 french bull dog,
2 guiena pigs, tanks of fish a cockatiel and a small parrot.
Current school year classes will end the first week of June, Summer session will open the week of June 17th on Tuesday,Wednesdays and Thursdays
