Welcome to  Sociabilities September 2025

Classes currently are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Classes are divided by age and interest. Currently there is a small waiting list for a Thursday class to open for 2nd and third graders  that will be from 3:15-4:30. The current Wednesday 3:15 class is full. If anyone is interested in moving to a Thursday class, because it fits better in your schedule, please let me know.

Tuesday 2:45-4:15 for my youngest PK, Tk Kindergarten combo

Or youngest children are working on a variety of skills to support social and communicative learning. This month we will practice “seeing with our eyes”, sharing, having safe hands and appropriate space from others, sharing, and initiating and continuing a conversation. Will will discover ways to be flexible and tools to avoid stubbornness. Kind Coins will be rewarded for following expectations of sessions.

Tuesday   4:30-5:45 for my older boys 4th, 5th and 6th grades and Wednesday 4th and 5th grade combo class

Our discussions have begun to revolve around what the meaning of “social thinking” is and how what we think and do impact peers, family and the community. Flexible thinking and  will aid us in finding the clues in each situation to be our best. We will learn how to watch for verbal and non verbal clues to make sure the situation calls for ( being funny, kind, or are we annoying others with our actions and words.) We will explore perspective-taking, problem solving, creativity and mindfulness.

Wednesday 3:15-4:30   Grades 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades combo class

Building self esteem will continue with having a positive attitude even when things are difficult . Talking about Rock Brain and T-Flex behavior and the Un wonderer and Wonderer ( abilities to focus in on conversations )and participate with conversation starters and follow through questions. We will be developing goals of areas we individually need to have a positive attitude towards and action plans to carry out our goals

Please remember to not park in front of my neighbor to the left even for a short while. You can park anywhere befor approaching my house or across the street.  

Assistants are Laura and Karen  ( Laura is having a knee replacement next week so Karen will be working both Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
